Daylily ‘Shaker’

Daylily ‘Shaker’ is a bold tetraploid introduction by Townsend-J. from 2011, known for its large blooms, dramatic toothy edging, and dependable rebloom. With strong color contrast and heavy substance, this cultivar delivers both texture and presence in the garden.

The impressive 7-inch blooms open in rich rose tones accented by a light rose halo and near-white midribs that brighten and define the petals. A striking gold edge lined with pronounced teeth frames the bloom, and notably, the teeth also extend onto the sepals for added texture and dimension. A gold to green throat completes the composition, adding warmth and depth at the center.

Plants reach approximately 30 inches tall and feature semi-evergreen foliage, providing adaptability across a range of climates. Blooming early to midseason with reliable rebloom, ‘Shaker’ produces around 15 buds on 3 branches, offering a balanced and extended floral display.

A commanding daylily ideal for borders, focal plantings, and collections emphasizing large blooms, toothy edges, and layered coloration.
