BAP-10 Plant Growth Hormone (2 oz Bottle) — Cytokinin Shoot Stimulator
Product Overview
BAP-10 is a cytokinin-based plant growth regulator made with 6-Benzylaminopurine (6-BA). It stimulates rapid cell division in shoot tissue, promoting fuller growth, increased branching, and delayed leaf yellowing. Growers use it in greenhouses, propagation racks, and tissue-culture work where predictable shoot activation matters. It is especially valued by hosta collectors for its ability to encourage dormant eyes to “wake up.”
In my own trials, about 50% of the hostas I spray with BAP-10 push 2–6 new eyes from the soil within 2–3 weeks, as long as temperature, moisture, and light are favorable. The cytokinin boost helps wake dormant meristems and trigger fresh shoot activity, making BAP-10 a powerful tool for expanding clumps, speeding up recovery, and jump-starting slow or stubborn hostas.
This listing is for a single 2-ounce bottle of liquid concentrate. To mix, dilute 2 ounces of BAP-10 in one gallon of water and apply the solution with a pump sprayer for even foliar or crown coverage. Use it only during favorable growing conditions and avoid exceeding the recommended concentration.
Shelf Life
Unmixed concentrate stored at normal room temperature remains effective for about 6 months when kept sealed and out of direct light. Once mixed with water, the solution should be used within 24 hours for best activity.
