Hosta Mighty Special OS

Hosta ‘Mighty Special’ is a registered streaked miniature hosta introduced by Bill Silvers in 2013, selected as a sport of ‘Mighty Mini’. This offering is OS (Originator’s Stock), meaning plants are sourced directly from the originator’s original stock and designated as OS only when verifiable.
The compact leaves are blue-green with greenish-yellow streaking that remains consistent through the season. Unlike related Mouse Ears streaked forms that often shift to brighter yellow or white, ‘Mighty Special’ holds its softer tones, giving it a refined and controlled appearance. The foliage has a slight sheen and forms a dense, tidy mound ideal for close viewing and container display.
Plants reach approximately 6 inches tall and 14 inches wide, making this cultivar perfect for troughs, containers, edging, and miniature hosta collections. Pale lavender flowers appear in early to mid-summer, adding a gentle accent above the foliage.
A scarce and desirable streaked miniature combining verified originator stock, compact form, and collector appeal.
