Hybridized by Bill Meyer as a sport of Leola Fraim, this award-winning cultivar is famous for its incredibly curly, twisted foliage that never loses its playful character throughout the growing season.

Emerging in spring with tightly curled shoots, Wheee! quickly develops into a perfectly symmetrical mound of narrow, green leaves edged in crisp white. Every leaf twists, ripples, and curls in a way that’s unlike any other variegated hosta, creating outstanding texture and movement in the shade garden. The width of the white margin may vary from year to year, making each season a little different and just as exciting.

Growing to approximately 16 inches tall and 30 inches wide, Wheee! forms a vigorous, medium-sized clump that performs beautifully in containers, borders, woodland gardens, or collector displays. Pale lavender flowers rise above the foliage on 24-inch scapes, adding another layer of seasonal interest.
