Hosta Spilt Milk
Hosta Spilt Milk
Description
Hosta ‘Spilt Milk’ is widely regarded as one of the most distinctive and collectible hostas ever introduced. This medium to large cultivar forms an elegant clump of thick, heavily corrugated foliage in rich blue-green tones, uniquely overlaid with irregular white streaking and misting.
Each leaf displays a different pattern, creating a dynamic, ever-changing appearance in the garden. Unlike typical variegated hostas, the marbling effect of ‘Spilt Milk’ gives it a soft, painterly quality that stands out in shaded landscapes.
In early summer, tall scapes rise above the foliage bearing graceful near-white flowers, adding seasonal interest and contrast.
