Hosta ‘Garden Gate’ is a registered large streaked hosta introduced by Josh Stadden in 2001 as a sport of ‘Iron Gate Glamour’. This offering is OS (Originator’s Stock), meaning plants are sourced directly from the originator’s original stock and designated as OS only when verifiable.

The foliage is green with bold yellow and white streaking, producing lively, ever-changing patterns throughout the growing season. As a true streaked hosta, no two leaves are exactly alike, giving each clump a unique appearance. The leaves are well veined with good substance, forming a strong, upright mound that provides excellent structure in the shade garden.

In addition to its ornamental appeal, ‘Garden Gate’ is fertile, making it useful for breeding and seed work while still serving as an excellent garden specimen.
