Hosta ‘Foxfire Bamm Bamm’
Hosta ‘Foxfire Bamm Bamm’ is a bold, registered streaked hosta introduced in 2003 by Bill and Eleanor Lachman in collaboration with Stephen Schulte. This large-growing cultivar is highly regarded for its dramatic texture, strong streaking, and impressive garden presence.
The foliage forms a large mound of green leaves with pronounced corrugation and heavy pebbling, accented by burned yellow to cream streaking that often extends down into the midrib. Unlike many streaked hostas that tend to stabilize over time, ‘Foxfire Bamm Bamm’ is known for maintaining its streaked character, making it especially appealing to collectors who value long-term streak expression.
At maturity, plants reach approximately 24 inches tall and 59 inches wide, creating a substantial focal point in shaded borders and woodland gardens. In early to mid-summer, pale lavender flowers are produced, adding seasonal interest without detracting from the foliage display.
A sister seedling to Hosta ‘Sand Pebbles’, this cultivar combines size, texture, and streaking into a truly standout hosta for collectors and serious shade gardeners.
