Hosta ‘Diana Remembered’ is a registered and highly regarded variegated hosta introduced by John Kulpa in 1997 as a sport of ‘Seventh Heaven’. This cultivar is especially prized for its wide white margins, vigorous growth, and exceptionally fragrant flowers.
The foliage forms a medium-sized mound of rich, dark green leaves framed by a very wide cream margin that matures to bright white. The leaves are shiny, corrugated, and slightly wavy, giving the plant strong texture and excellent garden presence throughout the season. The contrast between the deep green center and crisp white edge remains clean and striking.
In late summer, tall scapes rise above the foliage bearing large, near-white flowers that can reach nearly 4 inches in length. The blooms are very fragrant, making ‘Diana Remembered’ a standout choice for planting near walkways, patios, and seating areas. Flowering typically occurs in August, extending interest well beyond the peak foliage season.
A vigorous grower with bold variegation and outstanding fragrance, ‘Diana Remembered’ is an excellent specimen hosta for shaded borders and collector gardens.
