Hosta ‘Brave Attempt’ is a registered streaked hosta introduced by Bill Silvers in 2007, appreciated for its balanced habit and expressive foliage. This cultivar forms a well-proportioned mound that works equally well in collector gardens and mixed shade plantings.
The foliage is blue-green with creamy yellow streaking, producing soft, irregular variegation where no two leaves are exactly alike. As the season progresses, the streaking remains lively and variable, adding constant movement to the clump. Plants mature to approximately 14 inches tall and 36 inches wide, and in summer are topped with lavender flowers, providing gentle contrast above the foliage. A dependable garden plant with collector appeal.
